Focalline

Blocks distracting apps with friction that escalates as your deadline gets closer — for students and professionals alike.

In testing. Focalline is a working app going through closed testing before its Google Play launch — this page holds its place in the family. Check the blog for launch updates.

What it does

Pick the apps that pull your attention away, then start a focus session. Try to open a blocked app during a session, and Focalline steps in with an interruption screen: a countdown, a short written reflection on why you're trying to bypass it, and a final confirmation designed to make you think twice — not just tap through.

  • Deadline Mode — friction automatically escalates the closer a saved deadline gets
  • Works for both study sessions and deep-work blocks, with copy and pacing tuned to each
  • Streaks and time-saved tracking, so staying focused becomes visible progress, not just willpower
  • No account or sign-up — everything runs and stays on your device

Purchases

Focalline is free to use with a limited number of blocked apps. Focalline Pro (unlimited blocked apps, automatic Deadline Mode, full session history, and accountability-partner recap sharing) is available as a subscription, purchased through Google Play — handled entirely by Google, Focalline never sees your payment details.

Privacy & terms

Focalline has its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, covering exactly what this app collects and how it works — more specific than the site-wide policy.
